Lake Eyasi
Take to the skies to soak up the stunning vistas of Lake Eyasi and the cascading escarpment, with your pilot cruising at a low altitude for optimal viewing. Birdlife is abundant all year round, with optimal birding in November and December. End the experience in style as the pilot lands at the highest point of the escarpment for a light picnic or sundowner. Time: 1.5 hours.
Southern Serengeti
Experience a sky safari as you search for wildlife from above, taking in the vast landscapes of the southern Serengeti as you go. Your pilot will then land the helicopter in a scenic spot for refreshments and a moment to marvel over the endless plains. Next, fly out over Lake Eyasi and land on the escarpment’s highest point for a light picnic or sundowner. Time: 2.5 hours.
Great Rift Valley
After an early breakfast, depart on an incredible flight over the Great Rift Valley that includes a light picnic and coffee stops along the way. See the flamingos at Lake Natron, Ol Doinyo Lengai (an active volcano), and abundant waterfalls before turning south across the Ngorongoro highlands. Fly down towards Lake Eyasi with one final stop for a glass of Champagne before returning for lunch. Time: 3.5 hours.
Yaeda Valley
This excursion puts the region’s dramatic scenery center stage. It starts with an early departure across Mwiba’s rolling Commiphora forests and out over the Eyasi escarpment before arriving at the Yaeda Valley. After a picnic breakfast, spend the morning exploring the ancient, baobab-dotted landscape before returning for lunch at the lodge via the region’s waterfalls and gorges. Time: 2.5 hours.
A short trip skyward
Set off from Mwiba Lodge, soaring over sprawling forests of Myrrh trees (Commiphora) and out over the escarpment before setting down at its highest point.
Enjoy a morning coffee or sunset drinks as you gaze out over Lake Eyasi before returning to the lodge. Time: 30 minutes

Our award winning Airbus H125 helicopter outclasses all other single-engine helicopters for high-performance in hot and high conditions, fully equipped with dual hydraulics, enhanced safety VEMD systems and satellite tracking. With ample legroom and a comfortable ride, the H125 has left and right-hand sliding doors that can be left open or closed during flights.

With decades of experience between them, our experienced pilots have spent many years specialising in helicopter safaris throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Holding both FAA and KCAA commercial pilots’ licenses as well as qualified flight instructors, our pilots are not only passionate about exploring the magnificent African landscape but delight in providing unforgettable adventures for guests that leave them truly inspired.
